About Us & Testimonials
Gary
Gary began playing guitar at age 11 and it wasn’t long before he knew there was nothing else he’d rather be doing. Award winning albums and tours with such artists as Sherman Robertson, Jimmy Witherspoon, Eric Bibb, Roger Chapman, Chris Youlden and many others followed and Gary soon became session guitarist of choice to legendary producer and engineer, Mike Vernon. Gary’s wealth of international studio and live sessions, along with his writing, engineering and producing credits has made him a superb and in-demand musician but his first love has always been Jazz.
Steve
Steve has recorded and toured the world with numerous major artists, including The Beach Boys, Culture Club, Deniece Williams, Jimmy Witherspoon, Errol Brown and Lola Coca. He has also appeared live with artists such as Elton John, George Michael, Paul Young, Errol Young and Jocelyn Brown. His worldwide gigging experience ranges from New York’s Madison Square Gardens to London’s Ronnie Scott’s. He played the sax solos on hits such as Culture Club’s Time, Clock of the Heart and It’s a Miracle (amongst others). A great fan of the legendary Paul Desmond, Steve most enjoys playing alto sax on classic and modern standards.

Andrew Cartnell
Steve Grainger, a disciple of Johnny Hodges with a penchant for sneaking little quotations…into his solos…his playing was reflective and rhapsodic.

Guitarist, Gary Shaw, who is totally unknown outside Portsmouth but once he’s been heard, he’ll be known world-wide. He’s a fabulous guitarist, very creative and exciting.
